COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING

COURSE OVERVIEW

Computer science is the study of computers and computing, including their theoretical and algorithmic foundations, hardware and software, and their uses for processing information. The discipline of computer science includes the study of algorithms and data structures, computer and network design, modeling data and information processes, and artificial intelligence. The CSE department is the largest engineering department in the Institute. We are committed to improve the quality of education by enhancing the knowledge of students and staff members. The department offers concise class sizes in computer laboratory which ensure an interactive approach to learn programming concepts. The department has state of art laboratories, smart boards and computer center having latest computer systems with Wi-Fi connectivity facility. All the labs are well equipped with necessary application software/ packages like Code Block, Turbo C/C++, Java, Oracle, MYSQL, MATLAB, Linux etc. The major laboratories in the department include Programming Lab, Data Structure Lab, Database Management Systems Lab, Computer Graphics & Multimedia Lab, Applied Mathematics Lab, Algorithm Design and Analysis Lab, Java Programming Lab, and dedicated Computer Centre. The department always motivates research groups in the broad areas of Image Processing, Cloud computing.
